I take a hot cuppa out to the garden to soothe myself in the September morning sun; it’s a risky game, the children will more than likely not be ready for school on time and we will rush out of the house in a shouty, chaotic hurry. Never mind.
I recently read Chris van Tulleken's book Ultra Processed People. Has to be one of the scariest books I've ever read. As a result, I read all the labels and try to cook from scratch. Ice-cream is one of the worst offenders because we want soft scoop or whippy and they can only be produced using lots of additives. Maybe you should put an ice-cream maker on your Christmas list.
With every one of your posts, I get newly inspired to keep going with raising and buying and eating the most wholesome food I can! My husband and I agree it’s far better to spend lots more on food, and have far fewer health care visits. Thanks to you, I’m trying some of your yummy looking veggie-forward plates!
I loved your pic from the top of Croagh Patrick! My husband and I only made it up to the statue, lol! And just looking at your photo of the cow amongst the green pasture made me feel so peaceful. I appreciate so much, your sharing these lovely moments.
Your kiddos clearly have very refined and smart palettes to be able to realise they were eating random crap!! I label you as the best leader ever x
Aw you sweetheart! Thanks xxx
Gorgeous post Ciara. Happy autumn to you, too!
Thank you Gemma ♥️
Absolutely wonderful my friend (but disturbing about that ‘vanilla’ ice cream) x
Whoever would’ve thought vanilla ice cream could be disturbing?!

Oh yes it’s a fantastic but scary book. I have an ice cream maker although now the weather has turned I’m not sure I want ice cream!
