I wondered how long it would be until I saw the Raven. He appeared suddenly, gliding swiflty on an updraft from below the cliff, inconceivably seeming to simultaneously fly upside down and backwards before levelling and calling out to his mate; they meet over the heather, their glossy black feathers shining in the sun.
I loved walking like a wild woman with you today and have often been out in the middle of nowhere at school pick up time! I also love the syrup recipe and will go hunting for what's left of the berries tomorrow. Fingers crossed xx
I loved rambling with you in this post—since I started reading Gorse I’ve had my map of Ireland folded to show the NE coast, and it’s such great fun to follow along on your lovely wanderings!
I feel the same about being outdoors—no matter how wild the weather, I can’t do without it!
I looked up The Grey Man’s Path… how amazing you get to walk on paths created so long ago. I hope you’ll share more places where “the veil is thin.” 😊
Perfect Tuesday evening read. Thank you for taking me with you xx
Thanks for coming x

Thank you so much darling! I hope you find some berries in a slow pocket in the west!

Thanks Susan, hopefully when you visit you’ll have plenty of places to explore marked on the map!
